A reader wondered about my 35b story writing, "35b to my knowledge is already in market." I know Fastweb in Italy is already selling to consumers at "Up to 200 megabits" but without vectoring they will often be much lower. On the other hand, Deutsche Telecom, the largest expected customer, says it won't be ready until 2019. That the vectoring necessary for wide deployment of 35b wasn't ready was confirmed to me last fall by Huawei & Adtran, who both were hopeful of results early in 2018. It's quite possible that DT, always conservative, is allowing more time for testing and employee training than others will. I wouldn't be surprised if some other telco deploys earlier.
